Where Nature is Restored, and Futures Are Reimagined
Nestled by a quiet riverside on once barren, rocky land, the Miyawaki Nature Lab is a living, breathing example of what’s possible when we partner with nature.
In 2018, this land had fewer than 70 plant species—dry, degraded, and nearly lifeless. Today, thanks to the Miyawaki method of afforestation, it has grown into a lush ecosystem with nearly 1,000 native plant species and over 1,500 species of birds, insects, and microfauna. And it continues to thrive, welcoming new life each season.
But this is more than just a forest—it’s a space for learning, doing, and imagining new ways to live in harmony with the Earth.
At the Miyawaki Nature Lab, we turn knowledge into action. Our workshops, training sessions, and guided programs focus on eco-restoration, biodiversity conservation, sustainable living, and climate resilience. Whether you’re a student, a teacher, a nature lover, or a professional in environmental work—there’s something here for you.
This is a place where children discover the magic of soil, researchers gather insights from native ecosystems, and communities come together to plant hope—one tree at a time.
So come, explore the trails, breathe in the green, and join a movement that proves healing the planet begins with one patch of earth.
