Joel Shajan is a Civil Engineer currently serving as the Project Engineer at the Agriculture and Ecosystem Management Group (AGES). With hands-on experience in both field execution and technical oversight, he plays a key role in coordinating and monitoring eco-restoration projects, particularly those involving Miyawaki afforestation.
He also serves as Site Engineer for Third Party Quality Auditing across several major infrastructure and environmental projects in Kerala. These include the National Cyclone Risk Mitigation Project (NCRMP), funded by the World Bank; the Miyawaki Afforestation Programme supported by the Kerala State Biodiversity Board; and the Jal Jeevan Mission under the Kerala Water Authority (KWA), Government of Kerala.
With a strong foundation in civil engineering and an eye for detail, Joel contributes to ensuring quality, sustainability, and effectiveness in the design and implementation of environmental initiatives. His technical expertise supports AGES' mission of ecosystem restoration and climate resilience through rigorous project execution and infrastructure support.
